Hi everyone,
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying something new.
My skin has always been naturally really dry and eczema prone so usually, the only product that I’ll use on my body is Diprobase eczema cream. I always struggle to find products that are hydrating and anti-inflammatory without containing perfumes or an abundance of chemicals that I can’t even pronounce.
So, last month I was doing a bit of research online and found Skin Sanctuary on Instagram.
They’re an independent skincare company who make natural and organic skincare products made from ethically sourced ingredients. They promise that there are no hidden nasty ingredients in any of their products. Including no parabens, chemical preservatives, alcohol or synthetic additives. Also, all of their products are handmade and are made in small batches in order to make sure they’re only sending their customers the freshest products possible.
The Skin Sanctuary product that I’ve been using recently is their body butter, which is made up of only three ingredients.
The only ingredients in the butter are:
- Unrefined raw organic Shea Butter
- Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil
- 100% Pure essential oil

Since using the body butter, I’ve been really impressed with how it’s left my skin feeling.
The actual texture of the butter feels like something between a light cream and an oil. You only need to use a small amount when applying it and it sinks into the skin really nicely. It doesn’t feel heavy or like you’ve put a layer of paint on your skin like a lot of creams and butters do. There’s also no sticky residue left over after you use it. I’ve found that oils and butters especially often make my skin feel slimey because they just sit on top of my skin so I’m happy that this isn’t the case here.

Since using it, I’ve noticed that my skin feels softer, more hydrated and my eczema also feels soothed and much less irritated. If you suffer from naturally dry skin then I’d highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a natural remedy.
I don’t know about you but as I’ve gotten older, the things I look for in skincare has changed so much. I’m not interested in creams that have pretty packaging and smell like strawberries. I’m interested in supporting brands that use natural, ethically-sourced and cruelty-free ingredients. Luckily for me, Skin Sanctuary ticks all of these boxes.
